As an accomplished public servant, Jack Enrile is a successful entrepreneur, sports enthusiast and a self-made man. He is an ardent believer of fairness and equity-traits that are likewise reflected in the advocacy he espouses in Congress: Batas Kasambahay, Food Sovereignty, Credit Card reform, Anti-monopoly, among others.
Married to former Representative Sally Santiago, Jack is father to Sara and Sam and two daughters from a previous relationship: Kriska and Ina.
Jack attended Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines from Preparatory School (1972) until High School (1976). He then earned a Bachelor of Arts in English degree from Christian Heritage College, El Cajon, California in 1993. He also obtained a Presidential Masters Degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University, Malibu California (1995).
Political Career
His political career started in 1998 as Representative of the 1st District of Cagayan in the Congress of the Philippines, serving from 1998–2007 and from 2010 to present. He is the principal author of the Batas Kasambahay, Food for Filipinos First, Credit Access and Protection Reform and the Anti-Monopoly Bill. Eight most absent lawmaker as of November 18 2012 in the 16th Congress in the House of Representatives.
Corporate Background
Jack Enrile was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of JAKA Investments Corporation and the JAKA Group of Companies from 1994 to 1998.
He founded the Philippine Practical Shooting Association (PPSA) in 1982. He is the President of PPSA. Enrile is also the Regional Director of the International Practical Shooting Confederation.
