The people of Roxas City in the Province of Camarines Sur are waiting for the outcome of Monday’s Roxas City Barangay Elections 2013. Results for the October 28, 2013 Barangay Election are out after poll workers finished counting the ballots manually in 1 to 2 days.
Roxas City, Capiz Sur has a total of 47 barangays. Thus, posting of results to the official website of COMELEC will take for a while.
Roxas City is a 2nd class city in the province of Capiz. It has an aggregate area of 95.07 square kilometers (36.71 sq mi). According to the NSO census, the city has a total of 156,197 inhabitants as of 2010.
Dubbed as the “Seafood Capital of the Philippines”, Roxas City is part of the 1st district of Capiz Province. It is politically subdivided into forty-seven (47) barangays of which thirty-one (31) are urban and sixteen (16) are rural.
