Panabo Barangay Elections 2013 are in. Registered voters of Panabo City elected their barangay captains and barangay councilors. Panabo City has 40 barangays and is part of the 2nd District of Davao del Norte.

Dubbed as the “Banana Capital of the Philippines”, Panabo City is a small city near Davao City in the province of Davao del Norte. The city has an area of 249 square kilometers and has a population of 174,364 people in 32,807 households, according to the 2010 NSO Census.

Panabo is the home of the world’s biggest banana plantation, which is owned by the Tagum Agricultural Development Company (TADECO), which covers around 6,900 hectares of banana fields and produce millions of boxes of export-quality bananas annually.

Panabo City is politically subdivided into 40 barangays.
