The people of Malaybalay City are waiting for the outcome of Monday’s Malaybalay City Barangay Elections 2013. Results for the October 28, 2013 Barangay Election are out after poll workers finished counting the ballots manually in 1 to 2 days.
Malaybalay City has a total of 46 barangays. Thus, posting of results to the official website of COMELEC will take for a while.
Malaybalay is a first class component city and the capital and administrative center of the province of Bukidnon. The city shared borders north by Impasug-ong; west by Lantapan; south by Valencia City and San Fernando; and east by Cabanglasan and Agusan del Sur. As of 2010 decennial census, the city is inhabited by 153, 085 residents in a land area of 984.38 square kilometers (380.07 sq mi).
Known as the “South Summer Capital of the Philippines”, and the “City in the Forest”, Malaybalay City is administratively subdivided into 46 barangays.
